County Food Hub’s main goals are to support the food and nutrition needs of our community and to build and grow the local agri-food business in Prince Edward County. Position: Operations Coordinator
Type: 9-week Summer Contract, 30 hours/week
Compensation: $22/hour
Location: HYBRID County Food Hub, 406 County Road 15, PEC, ON and remote work possible

We are a community-focused social enterprise that provides a hands-on learning environment for aspiring food entrepreneurs and advocates for sustainable local food systems.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and creative Operations Coordinator to join our team for the summer season. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in both operational management and marketing in a dynamic, community-focused setting. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day operations, coordinate marketing initiatives, and support administrative tasks, all while contributing to the overall mission of the County Food Hub.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily operations and event coordination at the Food Hub.
Support marketing and outreach efforts, including creating content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and reporting.
Collaborate with the Executive Director, volunteers, and external partners.
Work independently and as part of a small, dynamic team.
Contribute to ongoing projects that support the growth and visibility of County Food Hub.
Qualifications
Enthusiasm for working with a small social enterprise benefiting the community.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Need to be motivated, take initiative and be willing to step in without instruction.
Comfortable using digital tools like Google Workspace and social media platforms.
Organized, reliable, and adaptable to changing schedules.
Previous experience or interest in food, community organizations, or marketing is an asset but not required.
Additional Information
Flexible schedule; days and times will vary depending on kitchen bookings and project needs.
Combination of on-site and remote work.
This position is ideal for those aged 15–30 (Canada Summer Jobs eligibility).
